Dr. Nijesh Shah completed his advanced training in optometry from Waterloo University, School of Optometry and is certified by College of Optometrists, Ontario. He graduated from Lotus college of Optometry in 2004 and continued his optometric training through Fellowship at L V P Eye Institute specializing in hospital based optometry and ophthalmologic co management of cornea, glaucoma, ocular disease, inflammation, trauma, retinopathy, laser surgery and cataracts. Dr. Shah also received Fellowship training in Low vision rehabilitative optometry from L V P Eye Institute. He then went ahead and completed Fellowship training in Pediatric optometry at SN Eye Institute in 2006. Having worked in a hospital environment Dr. Shah is well versed with various diagnostic instruments and recently had an opportunity to go to New York Eye and Ear Infirmary centre to update knowledge on Optical Coherence Tomography with renowned ophthalmologist Dr Richard Rosen which he uses to diagnose macular degenerations and retinal diseases in his practice. He has extensive experience in family eye care, Contact lens fitting, eye surgery co-management, adult eye care and low vision consultation. Dr Shah has received various awards including a gold medal for Dispensing Optics. He has conducted free eye camps in rural India and less priviledged areas of Mumbai.
